Starting (and ending) a working relationship

To start working with me, get in touch to see if there are times available; we will set a time for a first lesson. Bring any music you have been working on. Wear comfortable, non-constricting clothing and flat shoes for both violin and voice.

Arrive on time (or be ready, if I'm coming to you). I will be ready or be on time for you.

Your time is reserved for you. I will not put someone else in your time or move someone else for you.

If you must cancel or change, I prefer to know 24 hours ahead. I know life doesn't always allow that, so please call as early as possible in case of illness, car breakdowns, etc. If you do  a no-show (no student, no call in advance) for anything short of an emergency, I will assume lessons are not important to you. If there is a pattern of no-shows or last-minute changes, I may choose not to work with you.

Payment should be ready at the time of the lesson; cash or check is fine. I prefer to be paid at each lesson so neither of us has to worry about whether a given lesson is paid for.

If you decide to stop taking lessons, please notify me at least a week in advance so I may give someone else your lesson time.
